At the base of the Burj Khalifa at night, listening to a band from Shillong playing at the Dubai music festival, after a lovely meal at the Mango Tree.....surreal...Keith and me zipped off to Dubai for a short getaway in Feb. The weather was superb. Dubai has always been one of my favourite cities to visit and it did not disappoint. We were lucky because be were staying right in the middle of town...translation...Sheikh Zayed Road, so conveniently located for us to travel by the metro or taxi at a short notice. The food, at Mango Tree, at the Souq Bahar, and the Irish Village is fantastic....but it was the Burj Khalifa, that both of us were fascinated by. We were very close to Dubai Mall, and though the aqaurium is not a patch on the one in Singapore, it was well worth a visit. ...Will I go back, most definitely!!
